General Information


The village of Radnage is the central site in Buckinghamshire, England for training in Shotokan karate under The International Japan Karate Association (Europe)  http://www.ijka.net/


The Chief Instructor of The IJKA(Europe) is Mr. S. Kato, 9th Dan.                           


The Instructor of The IJKA(Buckinghamshire) is J. Lyons, 5th Dan.



Shotokan Karate training at The IJKA(Bucks) is suitable not only for those who want to become proficient in self defence, but also for those who want to develop their fitness and get exercise only. There is no compulsion to engage in free sparring at The IJKA(Bucks) dojos.

All are welcome  (age 12 or over). No experience or particular level of fitness is necessary and training is suitable for women and men of any age.

Prospective students are welcome to just come along to train (or watch) without first contacting us.

This is a non-profit organisation but there is a charge of about £4 per training session to cover costs.
